My research focuses on investigating how language use shapes judgment and decision-making (JDM), along with the challenging interplay between two experimental paradigms: psycholinguistic and heuristic-and-biases approaches. In my previous research, I primarily examined JDM in bilingual contexts, exploring the foreign language effect on the judgment of nonsensical (bullshit) statements as part of my Master’s thesis.

Currently, I am a PhD candidate within the MSCA Doctoral Network and the HUM.AI.N-ACCENT project at the University of Padova, under the supervision of Professor Eduardo Navarrete. My research now focuses on another important lexical context – foreign-accented speech. In particular, I aim to investigate whether presenting information in a foreign-accented speech could impact higher cognition, such as thinking, judgment and decision-making, and to explore the underlying mechanisms that could cause this effect.
